The Ohana Waikiki West is a nice, moderate hotel (and an excellent value) that is well-located in Waikiki just two blocks from Waikiki Beach. This property on Kuhio Avenue has many amenities which include a pool, pool bar, restaurant, lounges, specialty shops, travel desk and central laundry facilities. All of the hotel rooms, one, and two bedroom units have a refrigerator, coffee-maker, air conditioning, cable TV, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, safe, telephone with voice-mail, high-speed internet access, Nintendo game system (fee) and balcony (most rooms). Most units have a kitchenette. Ohana Waikiki West is in a prime location and very close to many shops and restaurants. This hotel is popular with couples and families wanting to be near all of the action of Waikiki. The International Marketplace is directly across the street. All rooms are non-smoking. I have visited the Ohana Waikiki West many times in my 22+ years with my company. The hotel does an excellent job of maintaining the rooms & common areas and I really love the wonderful, centralized Waikiki location of this hotel as it is nearby to everything. The front desk at the property does a wonderful job of making the check-in procedure smooth for guests so that they can start enjoying their vacation on Oahu. A travel desk on-site is handy for helping guests with island activities.
For guests wishing to venture out on the island of Oahu, there is more than famous Waikiki Beach on Oahu. The north shore of Oahu offers a much more relaxed, island atmosphere than Waikiki and is a 1-hour drive north of Waikiki. There are many local tours offered in and around the Waikiki area including in Honolulu at Pearl Harbor and other historic sites. The Ala Moana Shopping Center near Waikiki offers over 200 shops & restaurants. Waikiki is world-famous for its' many restaurants and shopping options. Whatever cuisine you are looking for, you will be able to find it in and around the Honolulu/Waikiki area. Haunama Bay, about a 20-minute drive from Waikiki, is another popular attraction for visiting guests. The public transportation system in Waikiki called "The Bus" is an inexpensive way to explore the local area and attractions. If hiking is your thing, explore the famous Diamond Head Crater as it offers phenomenal views of the Waikiki and Honolulu areas from the top of the crater.
Please feel free to call me personally if you would like more information on the Ohana Waikiki West or any of the other hotels or condos that we offer on Oahu and any of the other islands in Hawaii.
